Activities - Things to do at Pahaska

Historic Lodge Tours, Horseback Trail Rides, Fishing, Hiking, Photography and more

Stay & Play in northwestern Wyoming!

Pahaska has many activities available without ever getting in your car. First and foremost, we recommend that everybody take a trip back in time with a visit to Buffalo Bill's Original Lodge. Opened to the public in 1904 and designed by A.A. Anderson, you can still feel the presence of the historic old west. We offer daily tours between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

For the outdoor enthusiasts, take a hike on same trails traveled by Buffalo Bill beginning right outside your cabin door. Excellent fishing is also just steps away. The more adventuresome may want to try horseback riding. Countless people claim their trail ride was the highlight of their entire Yellowstone vacation.

For the shopper in the family, don't miss Pahaska's Gift Shop. We feel we have the best selection of Yellowstone souvenirs and t-shirts as well as some of the finest authentic Indian Jewelry in the area. Our prices are great too!

Pahaska Tepee Resort is located at the center of over 25K+ of cross country ski trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing. The ski trails are free, however donations to the Park County Nordic Ski Association in Wyoming are greatly appreciated.

Snowshoeing has become a popular winter sport and the new snowshoe trails are marked with signs. Snowshoers are encouraged to use these trails instead of our groomed ski trails.

Pahaska is closed in the winter and has no restaurant, bar or ski rentals available. We do have a few cabins that we rent year round. Please contact us in advance if you would like to rent a room in the winter.
